Thank-you--Thank-you to to all of the students who performed at the Ascension Day Service on Thursday. They did a great job.
Camp Information--Forms and information will be coming home soon. I am just finalizing the schedule with Luther Village. Please make sure to read all of the information with your child and return any permission forms by the date indicated. The remainder of the trip cost will be due in early June.
Health--I will be sending home a permission slip for students to participate in the Sex Ed. Health Unit. Please sign and return it. If you have questions please call or email me.
ELA--The students are finishing their first novel on Tuesday. Their final project will be due on Friday, May 25. They will begin their next novel immediately to have enough time to finish all three by the end of the year. They will be reading three novels: The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Where the Red Fern Grows, and Island of the Blue Dolphin. Two Reader Responses are due on May 27.
Math-- Gr. 7s completed Ch. 11 on Linear Relations, Expressions and Equations and will have a test on Tuesday. The Gr. 8s have completed Ch.11 on Probability and have a test on Tuesday. Both grades start Ch. 12 on Wednesday which is their final chapter for math.
Social Studies-- Students will complete their study on the cultures of Ghana and Mali this week.
