Thank-you--Thank-you to Sandy (Ryan K.'s Mom) and Kathy (Katarina's Mom) for delivering the Thank-you cards and cheque to Winnipeg Harvest and Siloam Mission. Winnipeg Harvest was very grateful for the donation of $390.
ELA--The students have started working on their Literature Circles/Novel Studies until the end of the year. They will be reading three novels: The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Where the Red Fern Grows, and Island of the Blue Dolphin. Two Reader Responses are due on May 27.
Math-- Gr. 7s started Ch. 11 on Linear Relations, Expressions and Equations. The Gr. 8s have started Ch.11 on Probability.
Social Studies-- Students are studying the Transition to the Modern World--the cultures of Ghana and Mali.
