I am happy to report a great start to the school year.  Students have been very busy learning, helping around the school, and playing together.

This week we will be walking to 7-11 for a Slurpee before shops on Tuesday.  Please feel free to pick up your child at Nelson Mac at 3:45,  just let me know.  They can also walk back to the school and be picked up at 4:00.

Our fist week back at school was great!

Bible- The students had daily devotions and a chance to respond in their journals.  Our memory verse this week will be Psalm 139:13-14.  In chapel two students read scripture and we started learning about our Journey with Jesus.
Math-gr.7 we practiced plotting coordinates.    gr.8 we created and studied graphs.
LA Students started reading and responding to their novel. Next week we will begin our spelling program.
Science- We learned about living and nonliving things, did an experiment and had a snack of once living things. This week we will look at cells and use a microscope.

We had a busy first week back, from unpacking supplies, labelling them, organizing our desks  and switching from summer gear into work mode. Everyone worked very hard and deserved a restful weekend.  I am looking forward to the week ahead.
Sincerely

Mrs. Reimer
